Unleash Your Creativity with Charboneau Studios

We have some very exciting news to share! This month at some point, (hopefully in the next two weeks) we are having a building put up as the studio on our property! Charboneau Studios will be moving from Brainerd to our house in Crosslake. The building has two stories and is 16 by 32 so there should be ample room for some smaller classes.

My second piece of wonderful news is that I received a grant from Five Wings Art Council to use on looms so I will be purchasing rigid heddle looms (tabletop) and inkle looms. (to make bands). I talked to some of you at the fair who were interested in weaving classes. I will be listing an inkle loom class for 4 people in November, probably here at my house since the building will not be finished and my lease in Brainerd is done at the end of October.

Going forward, I will be focusing more on small weaving classes and eventually basket weaving with an occasional chunky blanket class thrown in. I will probably not be doing a lot of the crafting project classes unless something really moves me. I reserve the right to go back on that statement, though, because if you know me, you know I'm always up for learning something new and shiny!

Thanks for your support during this year! It's been really fun having the studio in downtown Brainerd but I absolutely cannot wait to be able to walk 20 feet to my studio and to decorate it all warm and cozy! I also cannot wait to suck all of you into my second love, which is weaving. My first love is, of course, John who will be doing a lot of the work to finish the shed. Please keep him in your thoughts as he is not excited about all the work but definitely excited to not pay rent anymore in Brainerd!
